How a visit works in the Greater Seattle Area.

The same four steps on one bathroom window and on a whole house.

  • 1Request a visitSend the form or call. We agree a time and ask which rooms and windows you want to cover, so we bring the right samples.
  • 2Samples in your roomsShutters, blinds, and shades in real materials, held against your own windows in your own light. Colors are matched to your trim and floors on the spot.
  • 3Measured by usEvery window is measured by the person who will install it: frame depth, reveal, handles, and how the window opens. The order matches the window, not an estimate.
  • 4Installed and walked throughInstallation is finished cleanly, and you get a walkthrough of tilt, lift, or motorized operation before we leave.

What the Eastside asks of a window covering.

West light

The lake side faces the sunset

From Kirkland to Renton, the view windows face west over Lake Washington. Solar and sheer shades keep the view and cut the glare at four o’clock.

Trees

Shade in summer, dark in winter

Sammamish, Woodinville, and Finn Hill sit under big firs. Rooms are dim in December, so light-filtering fabrics and top-down shades matter more than blackout.

New glass

Great rooms and clerestories

Houses from the 1990s on come with two-story window walls. Motorized shades on the upper row and cordless below is the standard order.

Older stock

Ramblers and split-levels

Lake Hills, the Highlands, and Juanita have 1950s to 1970s windows: shallow frames, aluminum sliders, and a case for outside mounts.

Service area questions.

Is the in-home visit in Service area really free?

Yes. The visit, the samples, and the measurement are free, and the quote is written for your windows, not from a price list.

Who measures and who installs?

PAPABLINDS does both. One company from the first visit to the final walkthrough, so nothing is lost between a salesperson and an installer.

Do you come to cities that are not on this list?

Seattle is served, and the communities between the nine cities are close by. Mention your address when you request a visit and we will confirm availability before booking a time.

What brands do you install?

Norman® shutters, blinds, and shades: Woodlore®, Woodlore® Plus, AquaShield™, and Normandy® shutters; Ultimate™ faux wood, Normandy® wood, Synchrony™ vertical, and CityLights™ aluminum blinds; Portrait™ honeycomb, Soluna™ roller, Centerpiece™ Roman, PerfectSheer™, SmartFold™, and SmartDrape™ shades.

Blinds, shades, and shutters across the Eastside

PAPABLINDS is a Washington window covering company (PAPABLINDS LLC, WA UBI 606-007-552) serving the Greater Seattle Area with free in-home visits, measurement, and installation. The nine city pages on this site cover Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond, Sammamish, Mercer Island, Newcastle, Renton, Bothell, and Woodinville, and each one describes the homes and windows typical of that city and the Norman® products that fit them.

One visit, one company

The person who brings the samples measures the windows and installs the order. That is the whole method: advice in the room, measurements taken on site, and an installation finished with a walkthrough of the tilt, lift, or motorized operation.

Outside the nine cities

Seattle is served, and the neighborhoods between the nine cities are close by. Mention your address when you request a visit and we will confirm availability before booking a time.
